Marv was a life-long teacher and coach at De Smet High School. He admired kids’ dedication both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities. He always encouraged and brought out the best in his students and athletes. Marv was not just about sports. He encouraged everyone to participate in ALL extracurricular activities, including: Band, Choir, FFA, FCCLA, Theater, Oral Interp, and Athletics. Marv’s biggest legacy was instilling respect for others, as well as showing dedication and perseverance in everything one does.
